Wildeblood
Rosana Cade & Others
Film, 2011
In February 2011 Rosana created a queer action group called Wildeblood with collaborator Laurie Brown, and organised a series of actions to challenge heteronormativity within public images, focusing on Valentine's Day propaganda.
QUEER CARDS
Dissatisfied with the selection of cards available in their local shops, Wildeblood created their own series of queer Valentine's cards and added them to the shelves for free!
SAME-SEX-GAY-GORDON'S-VALENTINE'S-DAY-FLASHMOB
On 13th February 2011, over 60 people gathered in central Glasgow and danced the Gay Gordon (a traditional Scottish Ceilidh Dance) in same sex couples. Half way through, the music changed and they all slow danced together, and finally returned to the Gay Gordon for the duration of 'Everywhere' by Fleetwood Mac. At the end they handed out small pink cards to people nearby with the Audre Lorde quote:
"It's not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognise, accept and celebrate those differences."
